At times we need to be able to collect payment on the spot via card/tap to pay. This should not be used for donations as receipts will not include a tax ID number. This should be used for snack shack, selling for shirts, etc.

Add a product
In the PayPal Point of Sale app, add a product to your shopping cart or enter an amount.
Tap “Charge”
Tap Charge.
Select Card as Payment Method.
Hand over the card reader to the customer.
For contactless cards: Tap the card on the screen.
For chip card payments: Insert the card in the card slot.
Confirm transaction
Enter PIN or sign (if applicable).
Make sure to check on the screen on the Reader/Terminal and your PayPal Point of Sale app to confirm that the payment has been approved.
Select Tap to Pay as Payment Method.
Screen will turn on its own towards the user for them to tap their phone/watch/card on the screen or back of phone.
Confirm transaction
Enter PIN or sign (if applicable)
Tap to Pay supports entering a PIN code in connection with payments.
Note: To connect a card reader with your supported smartphone or tablet, open the PayPal Point of Sale app and go to Settings > Card Reader.
Now simply follow the instructions on the screen.
